Emma Lou (Wynn) George, the oldest of nine children, born to Mr. Hosie Wynn and Maggie Mincey Cowert Wynn, was speculated to have been born May 9, 1914, in Swainsboro, GA.
Emma Lou met and married Frank Rivers and moved to Florida. After a short time, she moved back to Swainsboro, GA, and was remarried to TB George, the love of her life.
Emma Lou loved God and attending church at First Baptist Church, Stillmore, GA, and served many years as a deaconess. She loved fishing, gardening, sewing, and cooking. She was known for her infamous lemon cheesecake. She had a beautiful smile and a unique chuckle-laugh that carried throughout the room. Emma Lou never stepped out looking less than her best! Emma Lou's absence will be felt by many that fondly remember her.
Preceding her in death: her husband, TB George; two sons, Caulie George and TB George, Jr.; three brothers, Wade George, Glen George, Hosea George; and three sisters Margret Wynn Young, Juanita Wynn Gillis, and Alzona Wynn Allen.
Those left to cherish her memories are children Willie "Bill" James George; Walter George; Levie Ann George; Joe Mack (Irene) George; Patricia (Wallace) Burse; Joanne Merritt; grandson, Patrick George; great-grandson, Jadon George; two sisters, Bonnie Clyde, and Maggie Boston; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and loved ones.
