Wanda Iona Henderson Turner, 87, of Homerville passed away Sunday night (May 9, 2021) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after an extended illness. She was born in Ware County to the late Daniel Webster and Ethel Griffin Henderson. Mrs. Turner was a member of the first 12th grade graduating class in 1952 from Manor High School. She was a member of Victory Methodist Church and the Women's Missionary Society. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker and a dedicated wife for sixty-one years. She was a prayer warrior and had a wonderful card ministry mailing cards to the sick, shut ins, and bereaved.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. "Jimmy" Turner; two brothers, Kay Henderson and Herman Henderson.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Turner (wife Kay) of Homerville; two grandchildren, Tina Lane (Jeffrey) of Fargo, and Daniel Turner of Waycross; four great-grandchildren, Bailey Rowan, Jacob Lane, Taylor Coody, and Jared Coody; five step-grandchildren, Jamie Bunk, Josh Bunk, Summer Colson, Autam Robinson, and Blake Robinson; four step great-grandchildren, Chasity Colson, Wayne Colson, Justin Brock, and Alex Mosley; two sisters, Janell Davis (husband Jacob) of Alma, Betty Mercer of Manor; one brother, Huey Henderson of Manor; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning, May 12, 2021 at Victory Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Victory Church Cemetery.
