Cecilia Mary Beardsley
Cecilia Mary Beardsley, 73, 500 E. Crawford No. 23, died Sunday, Jan. 4, at her home.

Mrs. Beardsley was born Oct. 3, 1913, in Kingman. She was an elementary and secondary school English teacher. She received a degree in English from Marymount College in 1937. She was a member of the Salina YWCA, St. Mary's Catholic parish and the Leisure Years Center. She also helped write the "Vintage" book of poetry sponsored by the center.

Survivors include two sons, Lawrence J. of Omaha, Neb., and J.R. of El Cerrito, Calif.; three daughters, Judy Dickens of Limon, Colo., Mary Ann Colton of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Kaye Thomann of 840 S. Ninth; a brother, Peter James McKenna of Kingman; four sisters, Marguerite McKenna of 2169 S. Ohio, Sister Michael Ann McKenna of Nazareth Convent in Concordia, Sister Jeanne McKenna of Topeka and Mauricia Radell of Wichita; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. WIlliam Surmeier officiating. A service will be at noon Saturday in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman.

A rosary will be 7 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's parish.
