Mary Sue Smith Talley of Temple passed away on May 9, 2021 at a local healthcare facility. She was born in Haralson County on June 19, 1932, daughter of the late Joseph and Evie Gilley Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Talley and a daughter, Patsy McBurnett.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Baskin and son, Ricky Ploof, both of Temple; a brother, Sam Smith of Bremen; grandchildren, Amy and Robbie Bell, Chad and Melody Johnson and Tony Johnson; four great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the the funeral home Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 12:00 – 3:00 PM.
Services will be Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Harold Hamrick officiating.
Richard Harper, Joey Smith, Dennis Smith, Bill Smith, Jr., Mike McBurnett, Robbie Bell and Gerald Algood will serve as Pallbearers. Interment will follow at Old Camp Church Cemetery.
