Ms. Carol Wells, age 76, of Lake Butler, passed away peacefully at Riverwood Health and Rehab in Starke, FL. She was born to Clyde Johns and Mary Harris in Raiford, grew up in Union County then moved away to Madison County. She worked in law enforcement for Madison County Sheriffs Office until her retirement. After she retired, Carol moved back to Union County. She loved country music, especially Elvis. She was very devoted to her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Eugene Johns; and the love of her life, Earl "PeeWee" Wells.
A funeral service to honor Ms. Wells will be held on Wednesday, May 12, at 2:00 pm at the Archer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Her services will be officiated by Bro. Lem Lane. Her interment will follow at Conner Cemetery.
