BETTY'S OBITUARY
Betty Joyce McKnight, 79, of Pampa was delivered into her Lord's arms, Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Amarillo.
Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ with Scott Futrell conducting the services. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. McKnight was born June 22, 1941 in Ector to William and Nora Broyles McKnight. Betty graduated from Bonham High School and later received her LCDC certification. She worked hand in hand with the local court system counseling people with substance abuse and anger management. Betty was very influential in changing peoples lives. She was a devout member of Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ, helping anywhere she was needed. Betty loved the Dallas Cowboys through thick and thin. She had three cats that she considered her four-legged kids.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two infant daughters, Amanda and Heather; her two brothers, David Dale McKnight, and Larry Taylor McKnight; and a nephew, David Dale McKnight, Jr.
Survivors include three nephews, Joey McKnight and wife Kim of Copperas Cove, Dean McKnight and wife Sheri of Austin, and Kevin McKnight and wife Stephanie of Amarillo; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
