Bowling Green, Ky. --- Carl L. Allison, 84, of Cave Mill Road died Thursday evening, Oct. 14, 1993, at the Britthaven Nursing Home. He was born in Chester Nov. 9, 1909, a son of the late Reason and Bessie Laughlin Allison. Mr. Allison lived Chester until 1959, when he moved to California. He had lived in Bowling Green since 1982. He was employed with the Glendale Unified School District in Glendale, Calif., before retiring in 1974. He served with the U. S. Navy in the Pacific and the North Atlantic during World War II. A member of the Broadway United Methodist church in Bowling Green, he was a former member of the First United Methodist Chruch and American Legion 121 in Chester. He is survived by his wife, Zelma Miller Allison, whom he married Sept. 22, 1934; two sons, William Allison of Thornville, Ohio, and Ronald Allison of Newhall, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Patricia) Reed of Bowling Green; nine grandchildren and two great - grandchildren. The Rev. Richard Hogg of the Newell First United Methodist Church is to conduct services at 11 a.m. Monday at the Arner Funeral Chapel. Burial is to be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
