Rita Birk Peeler, age 84, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Peeler was a native of Rockville, Minn. and made her home in Hancock County. She was retired from J.P. Stevens and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. Survivors include her children, Thomas B. Peeler and Tim Peeler, both of Sparta, James M. Peeler and Al Peeler, both of Milledgeville, Mark Peeler of Columbus, Linda P. Davis of Melbourne, Fla., and Margaret Gunn of Toccoa; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
