Barbara L Peters, devoted wife, beautiful mother, and Granny extraordinaire, passed away May 6, 2021 at age 71.
She was born Nov. 9, 1949 in Hackneyville, AL.
At the tender age of 17, Barbara married the love of her life, Troy Peters, and moved to Birmingham Alabama.
They made their home and business in Cahaba Heights and enjoyed 53 wonderful years as a team. Barbara loved Jesus and was a longtime member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.
She relished keeping the nursery and cherished serving the elderly. She was an encourager to both young and old.
Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Lizzie Peppers; her father, Marshall Peppers; and her son, Noah Peters.
She is survived by her husband, Troy; her son, Matthew (Dr. Elizabeth); and three grandsons, whom she absolutely adored - Joshua, Jonathan and Jacob.
Funeral services will be held Wed., May 12, 2021 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. Visitation, 2-4 p.m. with a brief service at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Fri., May 14, 2021, Old Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Hackneyvillle. Viewing at 11 a.m. at the church and graveside service at 12 noon.
