William "Bill" Clifford Tennant, Jr., age 88 of Moundsville, WV died Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Stonerise Health Care Center, Moundsville.
He was born March 21, 1933 in Glen Dale, WV, the son of the late Clifford and Georgia McCloud Tennant.
He was a US Army Veteran; a retired employee from the former Allied Chemical; a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, American Legion Post #3, and Moundsville Country Club; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing; and was an avid Baseball fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grayce Marie Tennant; four brothers, Tom, Jim, Jack and David Tennant; and two sisters, Phyllis Wood, and Norma Brandt.
Survivors include two sons, William "Bill" (Shawn) Tennant of Moundsville, and Michael (Mitzi) Tennant of McMechen; a daughter, Terri Harris of Moundsville; eight grandchildren, Tom (Amy) Fishbaugh of Mt. Clare, WV, Matt (Jordan) Harris of Morgantown, WV, Andy Harris of Powhatan, OH, Allison Harris of Martins Ferry, OH, Michael Tennant of Glen Dale, Steven Tennant of Columbus, OH, Mark (Brooke) Tennant of Moundsville, and Robby Tennant of Martins Ferry,; five great-grandchildren, Decker, Stellan, and Arden Harris, and Seth and Emma Fishbaugh; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 610 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville with Fr. That Son Ngoc Nguyen as celebrant.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville where the Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct Military Graveside Services.
