Edward R. Ferguson "Ed," 75, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home due to complications from a rare lung disease Mounier-Kuhn Syndrome.

Ed was born June 5, 1945 in Erie a son of the late James and Gladys (Van Zandt) Ferguson.

He graduated from Fairview High School in 1964 and immediately began the education for his trade as a tool die maker. He worked at several tool and die shops in the Erie and Girard area before retiring from Eagle Precision Tooling in 2012.

Following his retirement Ed transitioned to the joy of volunteering with retirees, at the Federated Church as well as at the WLD Ranch. He was a member of the Federated Church and faithfully and joyfully served as usher until he was no longer able.

He enjoyed hunting and gardening and just being in the outdoors. He was a handyman in general, enjoying the task of fixing things and creating gadgets. Ed will be remembered as a kind and gentle man.

He will be greatly missed by his family which includes his loving wife, his high school sweetheart, Sandra "Sandy" (Borland) Ferguson whom he married September 23, 1967; a son, Chad Ferguson (Denise) of Ephrata, Pa.; a daughter, Stacie Sulkowski of Millcreek; a treasured grandson, Joey Sulkowski; a brother, Mordie Ferguson (Barbara) of Fairview; several cousins, in-laws, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the WLD Ranch, 7351 Woolsey Rd., Girard, PA 16417.

His family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of VNA hospice in particular Kate, Dawn, Leslie, Toni, Amber and Harry.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a service to be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Federated Church, 11995 Main St., East Springfield, PA 16411.
