Mother Lillian "Gray" Phillips Dixon, beloved daughter of the late Louis Phillips and Vera Perkins was born on November 7, 1935. An angel came to Lillian's bedside on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 after a lengthy illness.


Lillian, who was also affectionately known to many as (Mau), was born and raised in Ayden, NC where She attended Pitt County schools.


Lillian joined Little Creek Church of Christ Disciples of Christ Church at an early age. She served on the usher board, mother board and other auxiliaries faithfully, until her health failed her. Lillian loved the Lord and her church.

In 1952, Lillian was united in Holy matrimony to the late Herbert Dixon. To this union three (3) children were born. One daughter who preceded her in death (Phyllis).


Lillian leaves to cherish her loving memories: one daughter, Grace Dixon Strong of Greenville, NC: One son Michael Dixon Sr. (Chloe) of Winterville, NC: One sister, Melba Jones (Henry) and one brother Louis Phillips Jr. (Ethel) both of Baltimore, MD. Seven (7) grandchildren; LaKeisha Dixon, Tequila Strong, Rayenell Sheppard, Tariah Williams, Dishuan Moreman, Michael Dixon Jr. and Jonah Dixon; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great, great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
