Michael Lawrence Tidwell, son of Henry Lawrence and Dorothy Jean (Ritter) was born on October 4, 1949 in Alva, Ok. He passed peacefully on March 27,2021 in Lewisville, TX. He lived in Great Bend and Hutchinson, Kansas, Tucson, AZ and Corinth, TX. He served in the US Army from June, 1967 thru April 1972. He was in the Army reserves from April 1972-June 1976.In June, 1971 he was 2nd honor graduate of the Noncommissioned Officers academy, Ft Louis, WA. After living in Tucson, AZ for 35 years, they moved to Corinth, TX to be closer to their son, Marshall and family. He worked at Hughes Aircraft in Tucson, Az. It later became Raytheon Missile Systems of Tucson. He transferred to McKinney, TX in Sept 2006. He retired from there in December 2015 after 43 years. He was a long time member of the Boy Scouts of America as a boy and later as a leader and instructor. He hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim more than once. He loved the Arizona desert and hiking mountains. He liked to camp out under the stars. He did leatherwork, woodwork and made many exquisite Native American style flutes. He enjoyed the Native American life style and going to Pow Wow's. He married Ruth Davis in Hutchinson, Kansas on November 24, 1970. He had 1 son, Paul Clark Sheldon (Barbara) from a previous marriage and their son, Marshall Lee Tidwell (Cherilyn). All total there were 8 Grandchildren (Cody, Curtis, Cheyanne, Garrett, Dakota, Quinn, Cori Leigh, and David), and 6 Great Granddaughters (Zoey, Milinda, Kara, Mirasol, Reese, Marie). He had 2 brothers and a sister, Kenneth Wayne and Gregory Lynn Tidwell (deceased), both of Hutchinson, Shari Leigh Tidwell Lutz (Steve) of Nickerson, Ks, and nieces. He was met on the other side by his parents, Grandparents, youngest brother, Greg, step son, Ronald Wendland, and daughter Kara Janine Tidwell (Collins, Osborn).
