Martha was born on October 27, 1935 in Jasper County, IL, a daughter of Gaillard and Oretha Maxine (Bryan) Workman. She married Marvin L. Telford on July 14, 1954 in Cullom, IL. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2014. Survivors include: four sons: James (Inge) Telford of Pontiac, IL., Don (Donna) Telford of Dwight, IL., Ron (Jeri) Telford of Greeley Co and Paul (Kathy) Telford of Pontiac, IL; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Howard Workman of Ottawa, IL and Mark Workman of Loves Park, IL. Martha was preceded in death by one son in infancy and one sister: Clara Smith.
Martha was educated in Chenoa schools and worked for Dr. Leverton in Pontiac for many years. Martha was an avid quilter and fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 12, 2021 at 11:00AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pontiac, IL. with Pastor Mathew Berger officiating. Inurnment will be in Rowe Cemetery, rural Pontiac, IL.
