Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mr. Kenneth Oneal Tucker, 78 of Decatur, Alabama. Mr. Tucker died Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Decatur General Campus of Decatur Morgan Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 8, 2021 at God's Covenant Church Pavilion and inhumation in Calvary Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral. Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00 pm till 6:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mr. Kenneth O'Neal Tucker was born on August 4, 1942 to the late Reverend Melvin and Ethel Lee Tucker in Cleveland, Ohio. He later moved to Decatur, Alabama. He was baptized by his father and later joined Moulton Heights Baptist Church.

In 1960, he enlisted in the US Armed Forces. In 1962, he met and married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Conley and was happily married for 59 years. To that union three children were born.

He was a good hearted man that inspired and helped many people. He was a skilled craftsman. He loved his wife and three girls with all his heart and even gave them all nicknames (Fathead, Bok and Darky) guess who's who?

Mr. Tucker loved hunting, fishing and sitting on their "famous" porch where many stopped by to visit. He had a great sense of humor and kept his family laughing. He loved making his morning coffee and sitting down with his wife for breakfast who just had to have her bacon. He became a member of Bell Primitive Baptist Church where he attended faithfully until his health faded.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters, Dorothy Elliott (Rev. Charles Elliott, Jr.), Lorine Elliott (Elgie), Sandra "Joan" Elliott (Rev. James Elliott, Sr.), Belinda Christian (Charles), Diane Brown, Wilmajean Primes; three brothers, William "Billy" Brown, Melvin "Edward" Tucker and Tommy "Bud" Tucker.

On April 29, 2021 at 2:03 pm he departed this life and went home to be with the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy: his devoted wife, Mrs. Shirley A. Conley Tucker; his three girls, Veronica Johnson (Ronny), Kimberly Tucker and Sonya Tucker (Duane); eight grandchildren; fourteen greatgrandchildren; a stepmother, Gloria Tucker; four siblings, Joyce Spencer, Teresa Coleman, April Tucker and Marilyn Tucker; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
