Betty Bernice Casey, 87, of Menard, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021. She was born August 3, 1933, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Rachel Lucille Slayten and Elmer Lasco Connett.
Betty is survived by her sons, Tony Casey and wife, Mary, of Menard; Keith Casey and wife, Rilla, of Beaumont; Cary Casey and wife, Rose, of Sour Lake; and Rick Casey and wife, Ruth, of Benbrook; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Welch; and three half-sisters, Deborah Bounds; Carolyn Quillin; and Marilyn Tweet; and one half-brother, Kenneth Maxey.
She is preceded in death by her beloved sister, Rebecca Davis.
A gathering of Mrs. Casey's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 14, 2021, at Broussard's, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
