VAN WERT, Ohio — Gregory W. Caldwell, 56, of Van Wert, died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at his residence after an extended illness.

He was born Dec. 8, 1959, in Van Wert, to Sandra (Michael) Caldwell, who survives of Van Wert, and Richard Caldwell, who survives of Van Wert.

His wife, Martina A. (Bailey) Caldwell, also survives of Van Wert.

Other survivors include children, Chad Caldwell and Kyle Caldwell, both of Van Wert, Miranda Caldwell of Scott, Ohio, Nikki (Tony) Westgerdes of Coldwater, Ohio, and Anthony Terhark of Van Wert; stepchildren, Rhea (Robert) Davis of LaFollette, Tennessee, Michael Bailey of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Deidre (Eric) Owens of South Carolina; brothers, Kevin (Beverly) Caldwell of Van Wert, and Jeremy (Jennifer) Caldwell of Dayton, Ohio, and many grandchildren.

He had worked in auto mechanics.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at Liberty Baptist Church, Van Wert. The Rev. Jim Burns will officiate.

Preferred memorial is the American Lung Association or to the family.
