James E. Dose

Mishicot - James E. Dose, age 67, a Mishicot resident, entered into eternal life, Thursday February 22, 2018 as a result of a farming accident. Jim was born on January 27, 1951 in Two Rivers to Erwin and Sylvia Stegmann Dose and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a 1969 graduate of the Washington High School in Two Rivers. Jim married the former Lariann Meyer October 25, 1974 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Newton. Jim farmed in the town of Gibson for many years, was a Renk Seed dealer, and worked as a seasonal truck driver for United Co-op of Denmark. He enjoyed his career of farming, and enjoyed hunting, woodworking, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot where he served as an usher for many years.
Jim is survived by his loving wife: Lariann, his mother: Sylvia Dose Hennig, of Manitowoc, step-mother: Corrine Dose, of Manitowoc, two daughters and sons-in-law: Amy and Jon Logan, of Suamico, Sarah and Cory Wachowski of Mishicot, one son, and daughter-in-law: Mike and Amy Dose, of Manitowoc, three grandchildren: Nicholas and Brock Logan,and Brynlee Wachowski, two brothers and sisters-in-law: David and Patty Dose of Mishicot, Paul and Tammie Dose, of Manitowoc, two sisters and a brother-in-law: Kay and Rick Wirrer, of Two Rivers, Cheryl Dahm and her special friend Ron, of Elkhart Lake. He is further survived by four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Harley and Linda Meyer, of Manitowoc, Ted W. and Carol Meyer, of Valders, Dale and Kate Meyer, of Fredonia, Fran "Slim" and Wendy Meyer, of Collins, mother-in-law: Mary Ann Meyer, of Newton, Goddaughter: Audrey Dahm, Godson: Alec Dose, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father: Erwin Dose, step-father: David Hennig, father-in-law: Ted J. Meyer, Godson: Rick Meyer and brother-in-law Douglas Dahm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday February 26, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, with the Reverand Jeff Briones officiating, with burial to follow in the Jambo Creek Cemetery on the town of Gibson. Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot. Visitation will continue after 9:00 a.m. on Monday at the church, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. A special thank you to the passerby that helped him out of the creek, to the police, EMS Ambulance and Fire Departments, and to the neighbors and friends that helped in any other way. Your kindness and selflessness will never be forgotten, God Bless You All!
