Ray Franklin Scott, Jr. 75-year-old Grove resident, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born on July 26, 1945 in High Point, North Carolina to Ray Scott, Sr. and Odelle (Turner) Scott. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam era. He worked as an independent truck driver for many years before retiring. Ray like to listen to good country music and going hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, May Melton and Larry Scott, grandson, Brayden Scott, and daughter in-law Sharon Scott.
The family includes his children, Jacqueline Scott, Brian Scott, and Weston Scott all of Vinita, Raymond Scott of Diamond, Missouri, grandchildren, Cody, Shelby and Nicki, great-grandchildren, Jamie, Kimber, Clara and Brooke, and a special nephew, Mike Melton.
