Samantha's husband Robert F Campbell died at age 38 and their only child, Russell C Campbell, passed away a few months later right after his 2nd birthday. Eight years later (1897), Samantha married widower Robert John Conley and helped to raise his six children. Samantha and Robert J Conley were married 38 years. Samantha died at age 80 of heart failure.
