Kathy Lynn Jacobs, 66, of Leesburg, GA, passed away on May 4, 2021 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Joey Cannon will officiate.
Kathy was born October 14, 1954, in Albany, GA, to Gano and Betty Slaughter. She was a graduate of Albany High School. She was retired from Albany Area Primary Health Care and had been employed there over twenty-five years. Kathy was a woman who knew no stranger. Her love and kindness extended to any and everyone whether they needed it or not. She was a mother to everyone who wanted her to be. She was never afraid to speak her mind but would always follow it with a hug filled with nothing but love. With her beautiful long hair and her bright hazel green eyes, Kathy was a blessing to everyone who crossed her path.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father Gano Slaughter, Jr. and a sister Ann Slaughter. Survivors include her husband Tony Jacobs of Leesburg, GA, daughters Kristina Jacobs Miller of NC, Jena Velez and Cydnee Saunders both of Dougherty County, a son Santos Velez of Camden County, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister Patricia Spooner of CT, a brother Danny Slaughter of Macon, GA, and her mother Betty Slaughter of Leesburg, GA.
