Jon Frederick "Fred" Green, of Pulaski Mercer Road, New Wilmington, died unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday (Dec. 13, 2018). He was 78.
Fred was born in Connellsville, Pa., on Feb. 29, 1940, to John R. and Caroline Ferne Porch Green.
He married Agnes M. "Aggie" Brown on Aug. 4, 1961; she survives at the residence.
Fred started his truck driving career at Cooper Jarrett and retired from Yellow freight trucking out of Cleveland.
He was a member of the West Middlesex Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed collecting trucks and trains in his home. He loved his dogs.
Survivors, in addition to his wife Aggie, include: three children, Tammy (Alan) Richmond, Leeann Green and Doug (Wendy) Green, all of West Middlesex; four grandchildren, Kylee Schlegel, Chandler Green, Karlissa Richmond, and Charlee Green.; and two sisters, Beverly Huber and Suzi Harold.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marshall Green.
