Jessie Oliver (J.O.)Stapp, age 82, of Knoxville passed away suddenly Wednesday evening, November 30, 2011. J.O. attended Marietta Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Air Force. J.O. was retired from Bellsouth after 39 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.B. and Beatrice Phillips Stapp; sister, Reta Seitz. He is survived by his "first wife Madge" Madge Donovan Stapp of 60 years; children, Chris Stapp of Knoxville, Byron Stapp and wife, Melissa of Dickson, TN, Lisa Douglas and husband, Doug of Knoxville; grandchildren, Maurie and Morgan Douglas of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with Rev. Randall Mayfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice. Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel, 11915 Kingston Pike is serving the Stapp family.
