He was born Nov. 15, 1922 in London to the late Alfons and Lida Mary Jackson Fritz. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II. Mr. Fritz retired as unit supervisor from Alcoa after 30 years. He was a member of VFW Post No. 4403, 25 Year Club at Alcoa, Point Comfort Boat Club and the Catholic Church.
Survivors; wife, Martha Ada Hensley Fritz; daughters, Christine Ann Pope of Conroe and Vera Lee Albertson of Houston; sons, Clayton Fritz of Louise and Terry M. Thrash of Houston; sisters, Olivia Brashear of Ypsilante, Mich. and Rittie Patterson of San Angelo; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Family visitation: 6-7 p.m. Sunday, Richardson Funeral Home chapel.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home chapel, the Rev. Charles Hammond officiating.
Burial: Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Richardson Funeral Home, Port Lavaca.
