James Kenneth Bolton, 62, of Waco, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

Visitation at OakCrest Funeral Home will be Sunday, May 9 from 3 pm to 5 pm. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m., Monday, May 10 at Waco Memorial Park with a family friend, Matt Lechler officiating.

James was born September 14, 1958, in Temple, Texas. He grew up in Waco and graduated from Temple High School. In 1977, after he graduated, he joined the Marines Corps. and served for 7 years.

James lived and worked in the Waco area most of his life. He retired 4 years ago after working at Terex. He enjoyed being with family and friends, cooking, and drinking a beer. He loved telling stories and good jokes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Fonda Mae Owings; his wife of 10 years, Sherry Bolton; brother-in-law, Gary Gober; and best friend, Danny Boss.

He is survived by his sister, Donna Gober; nephew, Gabe Gober and wife, Lori; great-nephew, Gavyn; niece, Fonda Hailey and husband, Marcus; great-nephew, Aiden; daughters, Tami Moore, Crystal Hardy and husband, Matt, Hayley Lechler and husband, Matt, and Heather Coleman; as well as numerous grandchildren that he was so proud of; and numerous friends he dearly treasured.
