Celebrating the Life
of Sue B. Blow

"To live in hearts, we leave behind is not to die." -Thomas Campbell

"What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us." -Helen Keller

Sue was a loving wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister and a friend to many. She left this world suddenly, yet peacefully, on April 27th, 2021, at age 75.

She was born to Martha and A. W. Blinson on August 2nd, 1945. She was raised by her mother and her step-father, J. B. Johnson. After graduating from Broughton High School, she attended classes at Hardbarger's Business College. She Worked at Nationwide Insurance and Amica Insurance for many years, as a Claims Adjuster.

Sue had one son, Trey Alexander, and he had two daughters, Trista and Melissa Alexander. Her loving sister Marsha, misses her everyday. She met the true love of her life through a "blind date" that was arranged by her dear friend. Sue and Steve dated for four years (what's the rush?), before getting married on April 23rd, 1983.

Sue was very active in Greystone Baptist Church for 29 years, serving as a Sunday School teacher, a Deacon, a member of the Church choir, and on virtually every committee in the Church. Sue and Steve joined Trinity Baptist Church in January of 2019.

Sue loved cooking for her family, vacation trips to the beach, her "Golden Girls", her "Gal Pals", every holiday that called for decorations and people coming over to the house. She was widely known for her "Millionaires" candy that she made from scratch, for her neighbors and Church buddies.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for June 5th, 2021 at 11 am at Trinity Baptist Church in the main sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Women's Hospital at UNC in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The doctors, nurses and the staff became like a loving family to us throughout our many visits over the years.
