Paul E. Brewer, 68, of East Jordan, passed away on May 5, 2021 at his home. He was born on July 17, 1952, in Goodrich, MI, the son of Emery and Thelma (Allen) Brewer.
He was disabled at the age of 24 but you would never know it. He continued to live his life and improvise to be active on a daily basis. Paul's favorite, daily routine was going to the South Arm Café in East Jordan where he enjoyed visiting with his friends. He also loved to fish with his grandchildren.
He is survived by 3 children, Margaret (Andrew) Ziegler of Erie, MI, Christopher (Debbie) Brewer of Ann Arbor, MI, Jason (Jessica) Brewer of West Virginia, 3 brothers, Roger Brewer (Dawn Daniels) of Ellsworth, John Brewer (Paula Miller) of Ellsworth, Mark Brewer of East Jordan, 4 sisters, Diane (Paul) Couture of Waterford, MI, Carol (Michael) Jakobowski of Central Lake, Debbie Brewer of East Jordan, Kimberly Brown of East Jordan, 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Rodney Brewer, and the mother of his children Katherine Brewer.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Andrew Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, 145 N. State Ave., Alpena, MI, 49707-2835.
Arrangements are being handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
