Oscar Hannah started to Colorado Wednesday for his health.

Wm McKinley and daughter Mrs. Dick Christinson and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams and children of Decatur attended the funeral of their Uncle and Father G.R. Grove Friday.
John Grove returned to Richland County Tuesday having been called here by illness and death of his father, Mrs. Oulrey, his wife's mother returned with him for a few days visit.

G.R. Grove died at his home Wednesday 22nd at 12 o'clock of paralysis from which he suffered several years. Burial at Mackey Cemetery Friday afternoon. He was born Dec. 5 1827 in Pickaway county in Ohio. He was married in 1850 to Catherine Anderson of Ohio and moved to Illinois in 1857. In 1869 they moved to Southwest Missouri where in a few months he was bereft of his wife. To this union was born 13 children, nine of which survive.
In 1871 with his children he returned to Illinois and in 1873 married Jane Tracy who died in 1881 having born him five children, two dying in infancy.
Since that time he has lived with his sons and daughters near Mansfield. In 1900 he received a severe paralytic stroke from which he never recovered though being able to be about until a few weeks ago.
He is survived by seven sons and five daughters, John of Olney, George of Cerro Gordo, Ed. and Frank of White Heath, Andy and Mrs. R.R. Trimble of Monticello, Mrs. Frank Williams of Decatur, mrs. Eliz Smith of Massachusetts, Mrs. Emma Braker of Newfoundland, Job, Tom and Minerva Lane who live at home. He leaves one brother of Nevada Missouri, two sisters Emma Walker of Salina Kansas and Mrs. Harmon of Monticello, twenty five grand children and eight great grandchildren.
