APRIL 28, 1946 – MAY 2, 2021

Ella Mae Cox, 75, of Earlville and formerly of Norwich passed away Sunday evening, May 2, 2021, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.

Ella was born on April 28, 1946 the daughter of William and Bernice Beckwith.

She grew up in the Cortland area where she attended the local school.

On April 3, 1965 in Norwich she married Merl Cox who passed away June 30, 2011.

Ella had been employed for many years by the Continental Cordage Co. of Cazenovia as a Braider.

She has made her home in Earlville with her son for the past 5 years. In her spare time Ella enjoyed the Adult Days program, crossword puzzles and putting puzzles together.

Ella is survived by her children
Bonnie (Steve) Horton of Earlville,
Lucinda (Paul) Harrigan of Syracuse,
Crystal (Art) Sisco of Norwich and
Tony (Amy) Cox of Earlville,
her grandchildren April, Angela, Dezerae, William, Korrinne, Danielle, Conor, Devon, Frankie, Katelyn, Alexis, Cheyenne, Aidan, Tristan, Angel, Aaileah, and Erica and her great grandchildren CC, Will, Jake, Nate and Claire. Also surviving are her siblings
Willie (Bobbie) of VA,
Eleanor Ruston of Syracuse and
Marion Gerst of Greene.
Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Ella was predeceased by
her parents William and Bernice,
her husband Merl,
sisters:
Harriet Jackson,
Bev Gridley,
Gloria Holmes,
Marjorie Bliss and
brothers:
Gordon,
Leonard,
Donald and
Raymond.

A graveside service for Ella will be held on Wednesday, May12, at 11:00 am from the Oneonta Plains Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are with the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home.
