Michael "Mike" Stephen Cox, 68, of Roanoke passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021. He met his wife and high school sweetheart, Dana, at the age of 13 and this year's anniversary would have marked 50 years of marriage. Mike was a wonderful husband, dedicated father, loving brother and an amazing Poppy to his two precious granddaughters. He was the strongest person ever after enduring many health battles. Mike is well known for his sense of humor always joking and pulling pranks.

He worked in car sales for over 40 years and had a great work ethic. Mike enjoyed riding around town in his jeep, fishing and trips to the family farm. He served his country in the Army National Guard of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Mike is survived by his wife, Dana Cox; two children, Stephen Cox and his wife, Jenny, Shana Roche and her husband, John; two grandchildren, Cora Cox, Mara Roche; two brothers, Vint Cox, III and his wife, Amy, Kenny Cox and his wife, Deborah; sister, Susan Stanley and her husband, Chuck; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and a host of friends.

A private service celebrating Mike's life will be held in the near future. Per Mike's wishes, anyone that is invited to the service should wear casual attire.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations should be made in Mike's memory to the charity of your choice.
