Trudy (LeBlanc) Blake, 82 years young of Meteghan, Nova Scotia passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, in her sleep on the morning of Sunday, May 2, 2021, leaving her many friends and family saddened.

She now joins in heaven her predeceased parents, Emily (LeBlanc) Muise and Camille Gaudette; Stepfather Benny Muise; her loving and devoted husband, Jack Blake; her sister, Yvonne; and brother, Gary.

Trudy was born on January 13, 1939 in Meteghan, although she called both coasts and the Yukon home at times throughout her life. She will often be remembered for her love of crafting, crocheting and knitting and the passion she had for sharing her hobbies with others. Trudy was a strong-willed woman and overcame several obstacles in her life. In 2018, despite physical barriers, she was able to travel across Canada to attend the graduation of her great- grandchildren, Jaydon and Carly. A year later, she would make another trip across the country to celebrate Thanksgiving with her family; a journey they are forever grateful she courageously made as it was the last occasion they were able to spend time with her in person.

Trudy was particularly proud of her French heritage, and as an outgoing and friendly person, loved to converse 'en français'. She was adept at managing an entire table of bingo cards, never missing a number no matter how fast the caller went. She liked to test her luck with the one-armed bandit no matter what city she was in and had some skill at picking the ponies at the track. An astute card player, Trudy enjoyed playing crib and bridge with friends at La Villa Acadienne. However, without a doubt her true passions were her love of Elvis Presley and caring for her cats!

Trudy will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Alan (Wendy) LeBlanc, John Stoyles (Laurette); siblings, Jacqueline Stewart, Elizabeth Elliott, Patricia (Alan) Jones, Raymond Muise (Susan), Sharon (David) Eagles, Susan Muise; her granddaughters, Laura (John) McLean, Tina (Edward) LeBlanc; great-grandchildren, Jaydon, Carly, Jocelyn, Eathan and Declan; nieces and nephews; honorary daughters, Ghislaine LeBlanc (Wayne), Rose and too many friends to list.

Her family takes comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her true love, Jack.
