30-year-old Eric Derrell Smith entered a residence and fatally shot his ex-girlfriend Christin Parker and her nephew, Brandon Parker. Smith then fled in his Nissan Altima with his four-month-old child and just before 3 p.m. There was a shootout between Eric and police where he was shot and killed. His child was shot in the process and passed away at the hospital.
