Mary Bixler Obituary
Bixler, Mary J. 1/22/1925 - 1/26/2017 Bitely, Mi. Mary J. Bixler, aged 92, of Bitely, Michigan, formerly of Jackson, passed away on January 26, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. Mary was born in Worthington, Indiana on Jan. 22, 1925 to Earl and Ruth (Lee) Vandeventer. She lived most of her life in Jackson but spent the past several years in Bitely. Mary was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and The Moose Lodge of Jackson. She enjoyed camping and campfires, spending time with friends and family and a good glass of wine. Mary was a fun-loving person and a joy to be around. She will be sadly missed by many. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Darlene (Gerald) Phillips of Jackson, Diana (John) Provost of Texas and Millie (Larry) Sukalski of Bitely; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one brother Earl Junior Vandeventer. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands Holford Cornell and George Bixler; and 3 sisters, Catherine, Louise and Doris. A celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later date. Mary's family would like to extend special thanks to her hospice nurse, Sondra, and request anyone wishing to make a donation in Mary's name to do so to Heartland Hospice 1053 W.
