James Morgan Leach, age 76, went to be with his Lord on Monday, May 3, 2021. Jim loved his country and proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam with the 3rd Battalion, 197th Field Artillery Unit. Jim graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1969 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. Upon returning home from Vietnam, He spent 30+ years working in sales at Hobart Corporation before retiring and starting his own business as an independent service contractor for Hobart Service. In 2006, Jim launched another business, Leach Food Equipment Distributors, where he was the Midwest Distributor for many different food equipment manufacturers. In 2014, he retired from both businesses and concentrated his time on his passions of gardening, canning, cooking, and baking.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Norris and Eunice Leach and his sister, Judith Snyder. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Lona; children James Jr. (Michelle) and Sarah Joanis (Kevin); grandchildren Natalie, Ava, Nora, and Corbin; brother, Willis Leach (Sherrie); nieces Susan Woods (Terry), Sandra Houdesheldt (Dean), Michelle Nunez (Ramon), Christine Bilyeu (Bryan); nephew, Scott Snyder (Jennifer); and many friends. A Celebration of Jim's Life will take place in the near future, with time and date to be determined. In honor of Jim and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either The Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan Foundation (https://www.dsawmfoundation.org/donate/) or The Wounded Warrior Project (https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate). Interment will be at Litchfield Burial Park in Litchfield, OH.
