Born in Providence he was the son of the late William Francis and Muriel Dorathea ( Dailey ) Carroll.
He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy class of 1976.
Peter enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after high school.
Following his time in the service, he pursued a career as a Carpenter. He perfected his craft for over 40 years working in residential construction, remodeling, custom home building, and most recently commercial millwork in Boston, MA.
Peter was an avid beach goer and was fond of family trips to East Matunuck and Little Compton. A loving father and husband, he expressed his love and support for his family often and always put others before himself. On quiet nights he enjoyed nothing more than sitting beside his wife and family pets on the porch at his Rehoboth home.
In addition to his wife Deborah, Peter is survived by his sons Ryan W. Carroll of Arlington, VA, Daniel E. Carroll of Waltham, MA, his siblings, Timothy M. Carroll and his wife Jean of The Villages, FL, Richard J. Carroll and his wife Stephanie of Schenectady, NY, Rhonda M. Connors and her husband Robert of Providence and Cynthia L. Lilimpakis and her husband Emmanuel of Wading River, NY.
Family and friends were invited to call Thursday, May 6, 2021, in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, RI.
