Master Sgt. Retired, Lewis M.C. Davis, 72, of 107 Moss Street, Gaffney, S.C., passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 in his home.

He was born in Cherokee County, S.C. and was a son of late Ebb and Bessie Linder Davis.

Lewis was an Aircraft Mechanic in United States Army. He served in the Vietnam War, He was a member of Glory to Glory Christian Church where he served as an Acting Deacon, member of the Pastoral Staff, and Intercessory Prayer Team.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 8 siblings: George William Davis, Clara Davis, Mary Fernanders, Amogene Byers, Christine Reaves, Alice Davis, Ezera Thonpson, and Rebecca Davis.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: a daughter, April Phillips, of Gaffney, S.C.; two sisters, Parnice D. Jefferies (James), Burdie Ann Barnett (Samuel), of Gaffney, S.C.; a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 12:00 noon, in Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of his niece and nephew, Bessie and Paul Littlejohn, 748 Northgate Road, Gaffney, S.C.
