Mildred Johnson Davis, 92, of Ladson, wife of the late Norris Davis, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at her residence.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 2 o'clock to 3 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 3 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Deer Park Baptist Church, 8875 University Blvd., N. Charleston, SC 29406.

Mildred was born on March 21, 1929 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Haygood and Pauline Johnson. Mildred and Norris were married for 61 years until his death in 2011. She was a Charter member of Deer Park Baptist Church. She and Norris served in many different churches in the area. Mildred was an excellent cook and baker and she kept her home immaculate. She cared for her husband and children with love and pride. She took pride in her home and food. She and her husband always enjoyed traveling to the mountains. Her niece Jackie Judy was a very special and close niece. Before she and Norris had children Jackie would stay with them and would travel with them on vacations. She lived with her daughter for seven years and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her one great grandson.

Survivors include: two children: Timmy Davis of Summerville and Lisa Davis Kelly (William "Bubba") of Ladson; three grandchildren: Chris Kelly, Kaytlin Kelly (Joshua Morris) and Emily Kelly; one great grandson, Samuel Lee Kelly; two special nieces: Jackie Judy and Etta Mae Rowell; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Norris and parents, she was predeceased by: ten siblings: Lester Johnson, Joe Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Bertie Bunch, Eugene Johnson, Leola Dear, Roni Charpie, Dorothy Graff, and Annie Dell Sweat.
