Marie was born August 1, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Alva R. and Josephine B. Harris. Married William L. McDonald, divorced. She was the proud mother of three daughters whom she raised with the help of her dear mother.
Mom worked many years for the State of Utah, Driver's License Division as an accomplished office supervisor. Mom was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served valiantly in many callings. Always a voracious reader, in her later years she enjoyed reading and studying the scriptures daily. Marie enjoyed her many travels with members of her family."
Mom is survived by her daughters, Linda (Gene) Leigh and Lisa (Doug) Hatton-Ward along with 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is devoted to her family and always enjoyed being around them. She also loved the wonderful, caring neighbors around her.
Mom is preceded in death by her daughter Lora (Creed) Barker and her parents.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021, at the Holladay 1st Ward on 2065 East 4675 South, Holladay. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
