Born Nov. 17, 1936 in Napoleon, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy (Cordus) Teeple.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, John H. Zimmerman, whom she married July 14, 1996, two daughters, Beth Beam married to Carl E. Dieffenderfer, Sr., of Duncannon and Janet Locke married to Dave Locke from Cincinnati, Ohio, six grandchildren, Marc, Christian, Stephanie, Joseph, Jennifer, and Alexandria, and eleven great-grandchildren, Kalianne, Brianna, Abigail, Aiden, Owen, Charlize, Kaidance, Autumn, Giavanna, Kaycee and Kaytee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Scott Hatcher, two brothers, Jerry and Larry Teeple, and her grandparents, Ezra and Deana Cordus.
Betty worked in the Deli at Schlegel's Grocery Store for many years. After she retired, she became a caregiver which she truly enjoyed.
She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, and collecting angels, hummingbirds, and butterflies. She loved cheering on her grandkids at their sports games and being with her family.
A Celebration of her Life will be scheduled at a later date.
