Mr. Jay Wesley Harper, 48, of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, May 3, 2021 at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born December 12, 1972 in Jonesboro, Arkansas the son of James and Carrie (Roberts) Harper. Jay was preceded in death by one brother, Troy Harper and one sister, Lisa Harper Byrd. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Harrisburg and a member of the Lion's Club. Jay graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1991 and graduated from ASU in 1997 with a degree in Political Science. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family and friends. He worked for the Harrisburg School District for several years and had many other jobs through his life. He is survived by his parents: James and Carrie of Harrisburg, one step-son, Jordan Hale of Jonesboro, two daughters: Fallon Harper of Bono and Jayley Harper of Harrisburg, and one brother, Lance Harper of Jonesboro. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 @ 2:00 P. M. at First Baptist Church in Harrisburg with Rev. Tim Hale conducting the service. Arrangements are Jackson's Funeral Home
