Kathryn was born on October 30, 1935.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles.
They were faithful members of Christ United Methodist Church. Kathryn served as a local and district officer of United Methodist Women. Kathryn also originated and led the congregation's Mature Methodists social program, fondly known as M&Ms.
Kathryn and Charles were avid square dancers, active members of Square Ups and Rag Tags square dance clubs. They were founding/lifetime members of Albuquerque Square Dance Center. They also were members of Siglo de Oro RV Club.
Kathryn was a dynamic (and highly competitive) bridge player. Kathryn loved to plan and host events of all kinds. Kathryn and Charles, together with their long-time best friends, Dale and Treva Hill, traveled in their RVs throughout the United States and Canada.
Kathryn is survived by her son, Chuck and his wife, Kelly, daughter, Teri Hoover and her husband, Bruce, granddaughters, Bonnie Arning and her husband, Justin St. Germain, Cori Parker and her husband, Nick and Allie Arning and great-grandson, Arlo Altamirano. Her siblings are Roy Griffin, Martha Copeland (deceased), Jackie Matthews and Mary Winters.
A memorial service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, 6200 Gibson Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, NM at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Inurnment will be at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM.
