Bobby "Paw Paw" Eugene Adams, son of the late Roy and Rosina Adams was born on July 19, 1947 in Covington Tennessee. He passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021.
At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was an active member in his church. He was joined in Holy matrimony to Nancy Jayne Johnson on December 18, 1965. After 56 years of marriage, there was no denying she was the love of his life. They resided in Oakland Tennessee. This union was blessed with three children, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Bobby was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Roy Adams.

He is survived by his wife Nancy; three children, Pam (Tim), Jeffery, and April (Luis); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Pat Hasard, Betty McRay (Freddy), and Sharon Ellis (Mike).

Bobby was a devout Christian who took pride in being an Elder and Praise and Worship leader at Hope Apostolic Church. He touched many hearts with his iconic voice and fierce love of God. Bobby always made sure his church was well manicured and deeply cared for each member of the congregation. His influence in the church has brought this small church plant into a thriving well established house of worship.

He retired from Milton Sternberger after 25 years. He and Nancy owned and operated the Baskin Robbins ice cream in Bartlett Tennessee. He enjoyed hunting, crappie fishing and gardening but his true passion was singing for Jesus. His quick wit and sense of humor never left a dull moment to be had. If you were forlorn he would lend you his shoulder, if you were happy he would make you laugh, if you were laughing he could make you cry. His compassion and understanding broke age and language barriers and he never met a stranger. The way he loved his wife and family was the manifestation of unconditional love. You never had to wonder what was on his mind, because he would tell you. Bobby had a servants heart and there was never a task too big for him to take on for someone in need. While he came from humble beginnings, he would always give his last dollar for the greater good. As a result of his hard work and determination he was able to give his family a rich and fulfilling life. His legacy will be celebrated and remembered by generations to come. A man of compassion, unending faith, unconditional love, natural talent, and always the funniest man in the room. As a husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend you have taken a piece of our hearts with you and you will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00pm with services immediately following on Thursday May 6, 2021 at Hope Apostolic Church.

Please send flowers to Hope Apostolic Church, 5645 Spring Lake Rd., Memphis TN 38135.

The graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Milledgeville Cemetery, 166 Odom Ave., Milledgeville, TN 38359
