Roger P. Hunter, age 81 of Worthington, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Kobacker House. He was a retired Claims Officer at Nationwide Insurance. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Nellie Hunter and nephew, Michael Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Diana L. Hunter; children, Steven (Pam) Hunter, Kelly (Scott) Rice and Douglas (Kitra) Hunter; grandchildren, Cody (Kym) and Luke Rice, Max and Madison Hunter, Erin and Couri Hunter, Beth Branham and Megan Karnehm; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Jackson and Ruby; sister, Carol Johnson; many nieces and nephews. Roger was an avid golfer, longtime member of Little Turtle Golf Club and served as Governor of CWGA and a U.S. Army Veteran. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington with Pastor Adam Bradshaw, officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to: American Cancer Society 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, OH 43215 or a charity of one's choice.
