A private family Memorial Graveside Service for Marilyn A. Berry will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Nora Mendyk officiating.

Marilyn Ann Berry, 69 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away, on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society – St. John's in Kearney, Nebraska, after a courageous battle with cancer. Marilyn was born on January 30, 1952, the second of five children, born to Donald Edward and LuEtta Edna (Jones) Berry. She received her education from Holdrege High School, and graduated with the class of 1970.

She furthered her education by taking satellite classes from Hastings Community College of Hastings, Nebraska and Colorado Mountain College of Vail, Colorado. She had developed different vocations throughout her lifetime and was an entrepreneur. In the late 1980's she owned and operated a cleaning service in Vail. Marilyn then moved back to Holdrege and was co-owner of Bunz Sportsbar. She later started working at Christian Homes in Holdrege as a Dietary Aide for 25 years. It was when she worked at Taste of Texas that she retired at the age of 62.

In the 1960s, Marilyn, was in an all-girl tribute band named The Female Explosion.

Above all Marilyn loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Marilyn was preceded in death by: her grandparents; and father, Don Berry.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Shane Stabenow and his wife, Stacee of Holdrege; Rory Stabenow and his wife, Nichole of Kearney; grandchildren: Larissa Palu and her husband Derek; Darian Miller and her husband, Skyler; Raegen Stabenow; Nolan Stabenow; Banks Stabenow; Bailey Stabenow; her mother, LuEtta Berry of Holdrege; her siblings: Gary Berry and his wife, Dee of Holdrege; Cindy Cairns of Elk River, Minnesota; Crystal Leopold of Holdrege; Donetta Sandell and her husband, Craig of Holdrege; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
