James Perry Talley
Springfield - James P. Talley, 83, passed away April 29th, 2021, at his home. He was born July yd, 1937, in Bentonville, Arkansas, the son of Wyatt Alvin Talley Sr. and Minnie Mae Brewer Talley.
Jim attended High School in Southern California. He earned his GED from Lane Community College. Apprenticed as an Ironworker in the nineteen fifties.
Jim married Audrey Sue August 22nd, 1981. They would have celebrated their fortieth Anniversary this August. Jim was a lifelong Ironworker. He established Triad Steel Inc. in 1985.
He was a dedicated member of his church. His great love was Sunday School. Working as a Bus Driver. Teacher or Superintendent. Would play cards at the drop of a hat_ Was an expert Chess player. His yard was his great joy and always beautiful. He was proud to be a member of the Cherokee Nation.
Jim loved the Lord, his wife and his family. Would give you the shirt off his back and he was tough as nails.
Predeceased by bis parents, his brother Wyatt Jr. aka Uncle Egg. Two baby sisters Francis Imogene, Lida Sue and infant brother Lewis Julian. Jim is survived by his wife, Audrey Sue. Daughters, Terry Lynn, Deretta, Becky and Christi_ Sons, Kelly, Carey and Gerald Ridge. Grandchildren. David Marcus (Miko) Melia, James, David Ray_ Kayla, Jillian, Matthew. Michael. Jesse, Aubree, Kyle, Dylan_ Mitch, Brittany, Tawny, Julian and Quentin. He had 19 Great Grandchildren. And one Great Great child on the way.
A graveside service will be held May 7th, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Reception to follow at Jasper Assembly of God.
