Anthony (Tony) Lawson, 72, passed away Wednesday April 22, 2021. He was born in Columbus, Ohio February 11, 1949 to the late Clarine Lawson and Euel Williams and preceded in death by his brother Steve (Becky) Lawson. He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife Linda Thompson Lawson, his sons Shawn Pryor, Jermain Loney, daughter LaTonja (Rodney) Thompson and Step-Daughter Lesley Alexander, his Godparents Thurman (Helen) Henderson and sisters in law Norice (Geno) Rice and Paula (Malcolm) Inniss. Tony had five grandchildren, Kristofer (Melita), Nicolette, Jermain, India, Imani, and one great grandson, Jermain II. Tony graduated from East High School and attended Columbus State Community College. He was a store manager for Value City Department Store over 18 years and a devoted member and counselor of AA for 32 years. He loved his AA family and cherished their friendship. He was a true mentor to many in all walks of life. Tony had a passion for golf and playing cards with his friends of over 60+ years, Billy, Stanley, Poopie (James), Jack and Homey. Tony is survived by his brother Jack (Elsa) Lawson and his sister Carol Reese, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
