Richard was born on January 20, 1940 in Bangor, North Wales to the late Isaac Emlyn Pierce and Ann Bentley. Richard was also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Gloria Jean Pierce; brother, Emlyn Pierce; and stepfather, Robert S. Williams.
Richard will forever be remembered for the kind, loving soul he was and for his love and compassion for animals. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Kelli Wheeler-White (Ronnie); three granddaughters, Molli, Ellie, and Abby White; daughter, Donna Pierce; son, Andrew Pierce; sister, Jean Shafiroff; niece, Elizabeth Moore (Lyndon); great-niece, Megan Wade; great-grandniece, Cabria Feggans; nephew, Michael Davis, and other family members in Great Britain.
Honoring Richard's wishes, his body has been donated to medical science in hopes of helping others. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
