Marian "Meme" Parrish Cooper
JULY 10, 1933 – APRIL 30, 2021
Marian "Meme" Cooper, 87, of Richmond, VA., entered into eternal heaven on April 30, 2021. She is survived by her children, William D. Finch, Jr. (Gail) and Diane Maxey (Alan); grandchildren, Cameron Maxey, Ashley Finch, and Chase Maxey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert H. and Ethel Powell Parrish; and husband, Charles C. Cooper. Marian graduated from Longwood College, and became a passionate high school biology educator. She enjoyed Sunday worship at Derbyshire Baptist Church. Marian took delight in solving jigsaw puzzles from the smallest pieces to the largest. Yoga kept Marian's mind and body in perfect harmony as she practiced it routinely. Meme was fond of her martinis and had a great love of her Boston Terriers. Her graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Tuckahoe Fire and Rescue.
