Darrin Demetrius Allen entered life on October 26, 1969, in Chicago Heights, IL; to the loving parents of Dale Allen Brown and Rufus Allen, who preceded him in death.

He confessed his life to Christ at an early age at Wasp Lake Missionary Baptist Church in Belzoni, MS; where he remained until 2019.

Darrin was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belzoni, MS; under the leadership of Rev. Richard Wiman, where he was a choir member.

Darrin attended Humphreys County High School and was a 1989 graduate. He attended Mississippi Valley State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music in 1995.

Darrin served in the Army National Guard for eight years. He worked as a medical attendant at Lexington Manor. Danin graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College Law Enforcement Training Academy in 1998 and began working as a police officer with Belzoni Police Department. He worked for Clarksdale Police Department from 2004 to 2006. Darrin returned to his hometown to continue his work as a law enforcement officer in 2006. He worked with the Humphreys County Sheriff's Department as a Captain and later Chief Deputy. Also, he was employed with Belzoni Police Department. Until his death, Darrin was serving as an Investigator for the 21st District Attorney's Office. During his tenure as a law enforcement officer, he received numerous awards and recognitions as a dedicated and distinct law officer.

Danin was well known for his prolific energy as an exercise fanatic and a melodious songbird. He was passionate about music and worked hard as an officer of the law. Darrin believed in helping as many people as possible and never saw a person he was not willing to help. Darrin had a deep love for the Belzoni / Humphreys County community and often aspired to be the best servant-leader he could be.

On April 30, 2021, at his home, Danin Demetrius Allen departed this earthly life. He was greeted in heaven by his father, Rufus Allen, grandmother, Bonnie Mae Davis, grandfather, Davell Davis, mother-in-law. Mary Baymon, and aunts, Joyce Davis and Bernice Lindsay.

Darrin leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Sharon Baymon-Allen of Belzoni, MS; mother, Dale Brown of Homewood, IL; one daughter, Alyssa Jackson of Southaven, MS; one step-daughter, Nariah Baymon of Hattiesburg, MS; five sons, Darrius Allen of IN; Demetrie De'Kuan (Chyna) Baker of Memphis, TN; Tyler Allen of Marks, MS; Ashton Allen of Belzoni, MS; and Joshua Jones of Detroit, MI; three brothers, Jerome (Veola) Allen of Dallas, TX; Walter Brown of Harvey, IL; and Kenneth Brown of IN; three sisters, Yolanda Cawthon of Downers Grove, IL; Charisma (Jovan) Jones of Austin, TX; and Heather Allen of Cape Girardeau, MO; two sister-cousins, Sheneka Davis of Haslet, TX; and Shajuanda Latnce Davis of Belzoni, MS; three aunts, Shirlene (Aaron) Reed of Belzoni, MS; Shelia Moore of Irving. TX; and Carolyn Boss of Grand Prairie, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Darrin was a very warm-hearted servant leader that had a passion for serving others.

Officer Allen transitioned on Friday night, April 30, 2021.

Private Family Hour will be at the same location,
Friday, May 7, 2021, from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m.,
at the Upper Room Fellowship Ministries, Belzoni, MS.
Burial will be Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Wasp Lake Church Cemetery, Belzoni, MS.
