Sharon was born to Robert and O. Ellen Moore Hamilton on November 24, 1946 in Connersville. On January 1, 1982 she began employment at the Fayette County Sheriff's Dept. She started as a dispatcher and was then promoted to a jail officer. Sharon was promoted once more, receiving rank of Sargent prior to her retirement in June of 2007. She enjoyed gardening, painting, drawing and cooking. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Sharon is survived by her two daughters Sherri (Nick) Rybolt, Judith (Steve) Bennett; sisters: Rebecca Moore and Debra Barnes: brother: Ray Moore Jr.; grandchildren: Kristen (Jesse) Allen, Zach Jackson, Alexis(Chris) Fox, and Caleb Henry; great-grandchildren: Hunter Allen, Owen Allen, Jayci Allen, Hayden Jackson, Tommi Fox and Jace Tibbot; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her former husband, Richard L. Henry Sr.; son, Richard L. Henry Jr.; sister: former son-in-law: Jay Jackson.

At the request of the family, private services will be conducted at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Animal Shelter in Sharon's honor. Showalter Blackwell Long has been entrusted with arrangements.
